for me it's mostly out of paranoia and G shocks let me be incognito. but also they are just easy to do wear when I do yard work, wash my car, etc. The SMP is always great but the Lorier is a nice/rarer choice!

I can see where you're coming from, as someone who mostly wears long sleeves it doesn't bother me quite as much, plus I abuse all my mechanicals even my SMP, it's a tool at the end of the day. I've got 3 Loriers actually, bit of a fan boy 😂

Interesting I've never looked deeply into Lorier. They look quite nice aesthetically. What drew you to them?

Mostly the aesthetics, my taste is very vintage inspired so when I found them I liked everything about them. The brand owners lauren and lorenzo also seem like very lovely people and are committed to making good pieces at good prices
